The Port Washington BID is partnering again with the Port Washington Public Library to sponsor the Port Washington Halloween Scavenger Hunt event. The scavenger hunt has been a huge hit with families in the past 4 years, we just have to bring it back. Last year we gave away over 400 trick-or-treat bags and even more kids did the hunt. That translates to LOTS of potential customers coming to your doorstep!
The event runs Saturday, October 26 only.
Participating businesses will post themed signs we provide. Families will follow the listing of participating businesses and search to match the business to the sign. Families can turn in their game card for a goodie bag. Bags and game cards will be distributed at the Port Washington Library from 10 am – 4 pm and from the Parent Resource Center Not So Scary Party from 10 am -12 pm on Saturday, 10/26/24.
How can you participate?
- Be a participating business. Businesses should have a store-front window that is visible from the sidewalk. If you would like to participate, please email Holly at director@portwashingtonbid.org by October 23.
- Welcome trick-or-treaters. Offer treats of your choice to costumed trick-or-treaters. We’ll let the families know which businesses are participating and where to find the treats! Trick-or-treaters will have a game card listing your business for the scavenger hunt.
- Post themed game piece in your window. We will deliver a unique sign directly to you for your window. We will give out bags on Saturday and encourage hunters to find your sign that day. It is self-guided hunt, so feel free to leave the sign up all weekend even if you are not open for businesses.
