Port Washington BID Re-Open & Renew Grant
The Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District (GPWBID) announces a new grant created to support local businesses within the District in their efforts to re-open after the New York State mandated pause. With the reopening phases and new guidelines, businesses will incur additional costs in order to comply with re-opening regulations. As a result, the GPWBID is offering a one-time grant to business members who apply to help meet these extraordinary costs, up to a maximum of $250 per business.
To qualify, the business requesting a grant must be a member within the GPWBID as required by the By-Laws. The grant seeks to help reimburse businesses for a portion of the many re-opening costs, such as those for purchasing PPE for employees, signage and marketing for re-opening and compliance as well as selected fees for re-configuring and redesign to meet safety requirements, including plexiglass partitions.
The granting cycle opens June 15 and will close July 31, 2020. Qualifying businesses can find the details and guidelines as well as an application link by visiting the GPWBID website at www.portwashingtongbid.org/grants.
The GPWBID supports local businesses during the COVID-19 crisis with a specially dedicated Business Resource page, regular postings with helpful guidance and links, and a lively social media platform to share updates with the Port Washington community. To see the latest updates, find the GPWBID on Facebook and Instagram. While not a requirement, we hope that all businesses will seek to purchase as much of their PPE services and supplies from Port Washington Businesses. Shop Port First!
