Governor Cuomo has posted the guidelines for re-opening for those industries included in Phase One Re-Opening. The phased reopening only goes into affect by region based on meeting 7 criteria. As of 5/18, Long Island has NOT yet met those criteria.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t be prepared.

  • Know what is required of your business according to the industry guidelines
  • Inform your workers how they can safely return to work and when
  • Inform your customers how you have met guidelines and how they can reach you.

According to NYS website, “Upon reopening, businesses must implement new safety precautions to help lower the risk of spreading the virus. These include strict cleaning and sanitation standards, restricting nonessential travel, adapting the workplace to allow for social distancing, and requiring masks to be worn if employees are in frequent contact with the public.”

You must go to the NY Forward Website to affirm that you have read and met the requirements for your industry. Read the entire breakdown at New York Forward.
