The Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District (BID) has teamed up with Spectrum Designs Foundation which assist people with autism in leading full, productive and meaningful lives. These two non-profit organizations that are based in Port Washington have created a “KEEP PORT CLEAN” crew to help battle the litter problem within the BID district.

The premise behind the campaign of Keep Port Clean is to make our commercial corridor vibrant and welcoming, but we can’t do this alone. We need our community to say something if they see someone littering and we need our businesses to clean in front of their business each and every day.

The first time the KEEP PORT CLEAN crew cleans in front of a business they will be handing a flyer to remind the business of their responsibilities. The TONH code states each business is responsible for cleaning in front of their store (sidewalk & tree bed) and 18” into the street.
